Throwing it all up in the air

I’ve been in the Civil Service for seven years. Not the most exciting sentence to start this blog with! Me and my wife Amy felt like we were at a crossroads in our life - settle down and get a mortgage and a couple of kids or do something a bit crazy. All my life I’ve picked the sensible, steady route and done what I’m “meant to” (meant to according to who I’m not sure) but this time was just the right time to throw it all up in the air and spend a year trying out a new way of living.
